Prior to his transformation, Christopher had never been at a healthy weight in his life. He was also addicted to recreational drugs, taking them daily. No matter what approach to food you take, simply aim to be as consistent as you can with your plan. The secret is to move a little, day in and day out, week in and week out, year in and year out. I eat small meals six times a day and grew to love how clean eating (i.e., no processed foods) made me feel.

A few of my favorite meals that accomplish this are oatmeal with peanut butter mixed in, scrambled egg whites with veggies, grilled salmon on a green salad and chicken with brown rice.

Through some trial and error, I discovered what I could eat to keep myself satiated, energized, healthy and content. All that really means is I took the time to figure out what worked for me. It may have taken me a bit longer to lose the weight (eight months), but it paid off in the end because it's stayed off! The approach I use in regards to food is referred to as Intuitive or Mindful Eating. How I did it : I did about 30 minutes of cardio six days a week and lifted weights for 20 minutes or so four times a week.
